Beaulieu sur Mer

Located between Nice and Monaco, lying just to the East of the prestigious Saint Jean Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu sur Mer is a small seaside town that has retained a lot of charm.
Landmarks include the Villa Kerylos (above picture), built by the well known architect Emmanuel Pontremoli between the years 1902 and 1908. Owned by Theodore Reinach at a time, this superb waterfront property was donated to the Institute of France in 1928 and is listed as Historical Monument since 1966. The Villa is open to the public and is not to be missed.
Another icon of Beaulieu is the Hotel Bristol. This grand building, built in 1898 by the Danish architect Hans-Georg Tersling, was the wish of Sir Blundell Maple and welcomed wordly figures. It has since been transformed into a luxury residence prized by many.
On the hill dominating the Port of Beaulieu, you can find prestige properties with magnificent sea views. The most famous of them being the Villa Leopolda. This eight hectare property built and owned by the King Leopold II of Belgium, has had a very select list of owners.
On the port of Beaulieu, you will find shops and restaurants serving local specialties, as well as the possibility to rent large or small yachts for a special day out on the Meditaranean.
