Grasse

The fourth biggest town of the Alpes Maritimes, Grasse is known around the world for its perfume industry. The most respected perfume Houses are in Grasse, the most notable being Fragonard, Galimard, and Molinard. Visiting these places and their museums will definitely develop your sense of smell.
As well as being known for its Perfume, Grasse is full of local culture. The many museums testify the cultural prominence of the town. The places to see are the Museum of the Art and History of Provence, the Maritime museum, as well as the Domain de Manon where roses and jasmine are cultivated.
The geographic nature of Grasse is such that you have views running all the way to the sea and the bay of Cannes. Properties in the Grasse area are in general vast properties where the countryside feel predominates. Yet you are only a twenty minute drive to Cannes and around forty minutes to Nice International Airport.
